Lubbock City Limits was recorded in 1986 and features my songs, High Plains Man, and Old West Texas Plains, that made the finals of "New Folk," a songwriting competition at the Kerrville Folk Festival,  Farewell Stan, a tribute to the late Stan Rogers was featured on Canada's "Simply folk," a syndicated radio broadcast.  This cassette also features two gospel songs, The Wings of Abraham and Most Folks Call Me Peter.  I also borrowed a song from Austin songwriter Chris Huff called Children.  This song is so good and so insightful that I considered using it again for I Believe in Rainbows.
